who, what, why
83 Degrees 83 Degrees is a small software firm exploring online consumer applications with an eye for improving the user experience, eliminating complexity, and making use of increasingly open systems.

Our experience has led us to the belief that you must sometimes get sidetracked in order to find your focus.

We enjoy doing the initial development work for both product concepts and full-fledged businesses. We do make some small financial investments but prefer to invest our time building out technology in exchange for equity.

If you have an great idea, don't hesitate to contact us. If you want to follow along or contribute, add us on twitter, subscribe to our news feed, or chime in!

Prior to 83 Degrees, we spent many years building and running Webshots, the photo sharing and social media pioneer. After selling and transitioning the company to CNET Networks, a small project around shared calendars grew into the indie hit 30 Boxes.
